Fall Ball Lacrosse 2020
The Tribe is endeavoring to get your kids back on the field run for a fall program that will comply with all current COVID state and local regulations
California recently issued guidance on youth sports during this COVD-19 Pandemic that Nevada County employed last week allowing teams to PRACTICE at outdoor facilities.
In a nutshell, California said:
Fall Sports can practice but not compete in games or tournaments.
Physical distancing of at least 6 feet must be able to be maintained
A stable group of players must be able to be maintained
While no ratio is specifically outlined, we feel a player to coach ratio of 13 to 1 is a safe metric.
The Truckee Tribe Lacrosse Club is an all-volunteer organization that relies heavily on the member support we get each season for coaching and coordinating. In these unprecedented times, relying on these volunteers is as critical as ever, and your support is being called upon. As such, if we are unable to garner enough volunteer coaches to have a safe program for our kids, then we will be forced to cancel the fall season and refund Tribe fees.
Likewise, if any family registers but later decides to not participate for any reason through the first 2 weeks, refunds will be given at 100%
Fall Ball 2020 will be skills, drills, and fun forms of conditioning only. No games or scrimmages will be held.
The season will run from Wednesday, Sept. 9, through Thursday, Oct. 22.
Boys will be on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
Girls will be on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
*Please note that with daylight savings, sessions may start earlier, and end earlier as the season progresses
Fields are TBD, but we are hoping to have Riverview
Fees for this year’s program will be discounted to $45 per player. Sibling discounts will still apply.
